Because

Street in Pateley Bridge is closed to traffic for a short time to
allow the Brass Band led Show Parade to march down the street.
Drivers
are advised to travel early or to take advantage of well-signed alternative
routes where appropriate. These roads are quite narrow in places so
extra care is needed.

left down Bewerley Lane (locally known as Cow Pasture Lane) and into
Bewerley. This road is now re-opened permanently.
